Good news!
We have internet Slow and dependent on the power supply, but still there - though as such we will not be able to upload pictures until we get back (sad face emoticon).
Day two has been great! We have spent the day training and getting some understanding of local customs. The staff has been extremely friendly and helpful, making sure all our needs are met. The food has been plentiful, the sun hot and an occasional shower to cool things off and wash away any dust we have swept out (can you believe they are sweeping!).
There were some excellent team building games the staff put on for us and the kids really demonstrated some excellent teamwork. We are already feeling very confident about how the building process will go. There was further good news for us in that the building sites are very close to us (5 min drive) and located very close together (all within a block or so). Though we don't wish our time away, there is a great eagerness to get through the weekend so we can begin building.
We are about to sit down to dinner and maybe have a chance for a swim to cool off before bed after our evening mission adventure session.
Please continue to keep us in prayer, as we are continuing to watch God work in the lives of our students. With the acclimitization to the heat we hope the kids are going to be judicious in their water intake, but good health remains something we covet prayer for. And as always, we hope to make a strong impact in the community for the kingdom of God, which will start tomorrow.
Good night and God bless!
