Clothing for the DR

 

The Christian culture in the Dominican Republic sets itself apart distinctly in how they dress. As a result, we as missionaries supporting their ministry want to make sure we adhere to their guidelines.

 

Girls:

Dresses/skirts to knees for church and ministry

T-shirts with sleeves and modest necklines (for work, ministry, and free time)

Shorts - 2 inches below fingertips (for work and free time)

No tank tops

Good work shoes

Flat dress sandals for church

 

Guys:

Work t- shirts with sleeves

Collared golf shirts for church and ministry

Long pants for church

Good work shoes

Running shoes

 

For all:

light sleeping bag

small backpack for workdays

refillable water bottle

Bible (not digital)

notebook and pen

toiletries
